The Mill History.
The Benjamin Chase Mill, famous for its high precision woodworking capabilities and was the world’s largest manufacturer of wooden nursery labels. After a fire destroyed the original building in 1912, the new mill was rebuilt with fireproof bricks. The new mill as built over Beaver Brook and took advantage of the flowing waters to produce the power needed to operate the plant.
